Using Ohmni Telepresence Robot
How do I share access to my Ohmni telepresence robot?
Sharing access is easy with Ohmni telepresence robot. On your bot's dashboard, hover over the robot you’d like to share, and click on the gear-icon. You’ll see the Share options. You can invite a user by adding their email address, or generate a share-link. When a share-link is active, going to the link URL will immediately call into the associated robot. Can I connect to an Ohmni telepresence robot using a video conferencing client/device from another vendor?
Ohmni telepresence robot does not currently connect with third-party video conferencing apps like Zoom because videoconferencing clients do not have driving controls. Ohmni telepresence robot uses the latest video technology, WebRTC. While it is supposed to be a standard, it is not 100% compatible between vendors yet.
Does Ohmni telepresence robot require updates? If so, how do I get them?
Because Ohmni telepresence robot uses the latest WebRTC technology, end-users do not need to manually install updates. Updates are pushed directly to the Ohmni telepresence robot.
Can Ohmni telepresence robot be used outside?
Ohmni telepresence robot is not designed for outside use but people have and do use Ohmni telepresence robot outside on hard surfaces. OhmniLabs is working on a version suited for outdoor use. Please contact us for more information.
Will Ohmni telepresence robot work without a network connection?
Ohmni telepresence robot will not work without a network connection because it will not be able to receive commands from the driver. A network connection can be established through a location-based network, or a mobile or mifi network.
How much bandwidth does an Ohmni virtual presence device require?
We recommend 3Mbps up and down. Congested networks can result in degraded performance. If sufficient bandwidth is not available, Ohmni telepresence robot will adjust its quality down to accommodate.
Can I connect Ohmni telepresence robot to a 4G LTE network?
Yes, by using a mobile hotspot you can create your own secure Wifi network to connect Ohmni telepresence robot. This is great for field trips, locations with spotty WiFi, and environments where WiFi isn’t strong.
Can anyone connect to an Ohmni telepresence robot?
Users must have an account that has been given access to Ohmni telepresence robot either through a One-Time Pin or through shared owner access.
Can Ohmni telepresence robot go up or down stairs?
Ohmni telepresence robot is not currently set up to navigate stairs. Navigating stairs is one of the problems the robotics community is facing that OhmniLabs™ hopes to solve. Ohmni telepresence robot weighs less than 9kg and can be folded for easy transportation.
Can I drive Ohmni telepresence robot into an elevator?
You can drive Ohmni telepresence robot into an elevator, but we recommend having someone accompany Ohmni telepresence robot to press the button and to reconnect Ohmni telepresence robot in case it loses wifi connection.
Can more than one person drive the virtual presence device at the same time?
Currently, Ohmni telepresence robot can be connected to one remote device (driver) at a time. It is easy, however, to include multiple participants by using a third party conferencing tool like Zoom to share your driving session. Ask us about enterprise options. OhmniLabs is actively working on creating the ability for multiple users to simultaneously take control of an Ohmni telepresence robot.

Unless otherwise stated, your purchase includes free shipping and handling directly to your door. Our team has years of experience in shipping robots to locations in every state and territory in Australia, so you receive our products safely, wherever you are.

What is your return policy?
Please review our return policy below in the unlikely event that the Ohmni telepresence robot you received is not what you expected.
Start your return or exchange process by emailing our team at info@robots4good.com.au within 14 days from the delivery date.
We charge a 15% restocking fee and shipping/handling costs for physical products based on their original sale price. You will also be responsible for shipping costs on returns and exchanges.
We will issue your refund within 10-14 business days after verifying that the product is in 'as new' order. All hardware products must be returned in their original packaging for a refund to be valid.
We do not offer refunds for the purchase of digital products. If you request a downgrade or cancellation for a digital product (i.e. Ohmni Developer License, Ohmni Cloud Solutions) within its subscription period, we will pro-rata the balance to your account and hold it for your team as a credit. You can apply that credit to any purchase of OhmniLabs products through Robots4Good in the future.
Custom orders, including custom covers, colours, etc., are FINAL SALE items and cannot be returned or exchanged.

No, Ohmni telepresence robot does not use an iPad. Unlike robots that use iPads, Ohmni telepresence robot comes with its own integrated screen; you do not need to attach your own iPad to it.

Is Ohmni telepresence robot secure?
Yes, all data is encrypted. No personal data, video, or audio are stored on the robot, nor remote driver’s device(s). Cloud servers facilitate connectivity only. Typical connectivity is point-to-point (peer-to-peer) between the robot and the remote visitor, not through a cloud server. Cloud servers only store encrypted account information. They do not store video or audio.
Can I record my visit or call on Ohmni telepresence robot?
Due to privacy issues, we do not currently support recording in our software. You can find and add third-party software that can do some recording independent of Ohmni telepresence robot’s software if needed.
